Happy May Day!

Tuesday, May 01, 2018

Today was an absolutely glorious day here in central Ohio. The sun was shining, it was warm, and just lovely. I'm so glad Hubs happens to be on vacation this week so we could take advantage of it. We drove out to one of the Metro Parks that we'd only been to once, a couple of years ago. It was a bit of a drive to get there, but the park was worth it. It's a big park, so we chose to go to the area by a lake, because I love to be near water. I snapped this photo.

After we took in the beautiful view of the lake, we set off on the trail around the lake. Except, apparently it wasn't ACTUALLY the trail around the lake, it was a trail that went partially around the lake and led to an area marked off for doggos to swim. {Unfortunately there were no doggos swimming at the moment!} But I think it was a blessing in disguise that we had to turn and go back when we got to that point because within a couple of minutes of turning, the pain in my back set in hardcore and I really struggled to get back to the car. If we'd continued on much farther and then had to walk back, I would've really been in a pickle, since there was no where to sit and rest along the way.

I said yesterday I hoped to walk 30 minutes today, but I only made it 22. I'm not upset with that though. With there being no where to rest, and walking at a faster pace, I'm happy with my 22 minutes. It was hard fought and hard earned. Once I sat in the car and let my back rest for a few minutes, let the air conditioning blow on me, and drank some water... then I felt AMAZING, and I realize it really does feel good when I'm finished exercising!

Also while we were out, I made Hubs take this photo with me.

Eating has been on plan, after a good night last night. No waking up with low blood sugar and stuffing myself, thankfully. I was so happy to wake up this morning and know I didn't undo any of my hard work last night!

Tomorrow is my Weight Watchers meeting, and therefore, weigh in. I'm not expecting it to be a good one, but I'm completely prepared for that and okay with it. I'm just ready to face the scale, no matter what it says, and then move on to a brand new week!

Also tomorrow is the first farmer's market of the season for one of the ones we go to sometimes, so we're gonna venture out to that. There probably won't be a lot in the way of produce, but I just love to go to the markets and walk around. Even if it will be small. And it'll get me a few steps while I'm at it!

For tonight I need to finish a load of laundry so my clothes for tomorrow are clean! Hope everyone had a great Tuesday.
