May 2, 2018 GOD’S PROMISES ARE GREAT

There are over 7,000 promises in the Bible from God. It would be hard to list them all here but we can know one thing: God’s promises are real and true. God is great for many reasons. One is that He doesn’t over promise and under deliver. Everything He says and does is truth. We can be sure what He promises in His word is true. Every single word of it. Let’s get into His word today and read of His great promises.

SCRIPTURE:
2 Samuel 22:31 “God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.” (NLT)

ACTION STEPS:
1. Write down some promises from God.
2. List the ways God has fulfilled His promises.
3. Know God wants you to remember all He promises.
4. Trust in Him, obey Him and share His promises with others.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, we know Your promises are true and good for us. Help us to get into Your word and better know and understand the promises You have for us. We know You are true to Your word and will keep Your promises to us when we obey. We want to read Your word and understand it so we can know Your promises, obey them and share them with others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

REMEMBER:
Every single word from God is true and He keeps all His promises.

Psalm 145:13b “The Lord always keeps his promises; he is gracious in all he does.” (NLT)

We need to keep our hope in God knowing He will fulfill what He has promised.

Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.” (NLT)

We need to be sure we are obeying God and waiting patiently for Him to answer our prayers knowing He will keep His promises.

FOCUS:
Romans 15:4b “And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.” (NLT)

God’s promises are many but He knows them all and will keep them according to His will.
