Weigh In

Today was my Weight Watchers meeting, and, weigh in. I was up 2 lbs from last week, but I didn't sweat it. I was down 8.8 lbs last week and I knew that was a LOT and there was a chance the pendulum would swing the other way this week. That, coupled with waking up with low blood sugar and stuffing my face, resulted in the gain.

I won't lie and say I was thrilled to be up 2 lbs, but I understand why it happened and I'm at peace with it. Now that this week's weigh in is over, a brand new, fresh week has started and I can work toward making next week's weigh in a better one. After having eaten so much the other night, I knew it wasn't going to be a pretty weigh in for me this week and I was ready to just get there, get on that scale, and move past it.

After the meeting I had some breakfast and then just wasted time until it was time to wake Hubs. Then we had some lunch and drove over to the suburb we used to live near to check out the year's first farmer's market. Obviously this early in the season there wasn't a lot in the way of produce but I did get some fresh, locally made hummus that beats the pants off the stuff in the grocery stores. I came home and had a snack of cucumbers, grape tomatoes and hummus. Delicious!

Then tonight I went to Trader Joe's to look around while Hubs napped. I didn't find a whole lot, but I did find a few things. And it got me out and moving. Now that Hubs is awake it's time to go tackle cleaning the kitchen and dining room, and get the menu and grocery list ready for tomorrow.

    Acceptance and accountability are so important. I've had to work on that a lot when battling my diabetes.
