May 8, 2018 GOD’S WAYS

We all have our ways we do things. Some of us are really good in some areas while others are good in different things. Our ways differ from one person to another. And, at times, we change our ways depending on the situation and the outcome we want. However, God’s ways are nothing like ours. We act on feelings a lot of times. But God is greater than our feelings. He knows our thoughts even before we think them. God knows everything and we will never completely understand His ways or His knowledge.

SCRIPTURE:
Isaiah 55:9 “For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” (NLT)

ACTION STEPS:
1. Write down some things you do based on feelings.
2. List the things you say and do that you wish you could change.
3. Know God is greater than your feelings.
4. Go to Him, get into His word, and know He can help you be a better person.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, Your ways are greater than our ways. Your thoughts are better than our thoughts. We know we aren’t consistent in what we do or say. We know we have wrong thoughts, words and actions. Help us to be better focused on You so we can live according to Your word. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

REMEMBER:
God’s ways are greater than ours. That is why we need Him in our lives.

When we rely on God to give us the right words to say, He will help us.

Getting into God’s word will help us learn more about Him and His ways.

Although we will never understand God’s ways, we can continue to build a right relationship with Him to be who He has created us to be.

God knows all we think and what we are going to say before we even say it. We need His word in our minds to help us do what is right.

FOCUS:
1 John 3:20 “Even if we feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings, and he knows everything.” (NLT)
