I didn't think the day could feel any longer or more tiring than the previous one, but I was mistaken. I am just exhausted.
I left the house about 9:15 for my doctor appointment at 10. Stress level was evident (blood pressure was 180/102 so I will monitor daily and report back) and the tears flowed easily. The doc did write me out a prescription for a 7-day vacation alone and she expects me to take at least 5 of those days within the next month or two. Had a lab draw to check all my levels as well. Afterwards I still had about an hour to kill before going to the family session so I went to the grocery store and then to Wendy's for lunch.
The family session went well and the current plan is to meet again Friday morning at 11 with the goal of having Maegann released. They want her to stay so they can change her antidepressant and monitor for a couple of days and give her time to learn some coping skills. We went back tonight for visitation and after talking with her again it does sound like the usual "blocked it out" coping "skill" as she doesn't remember hurting herself and wasn't sure how she got to the facility. I will call the doctor and social worker tomorrow and let them know that information as she definitely needs to learn to stop that one.
I finally got home about 2:30 and had 3 clients I had to do a little bit of edits for so I got those done and then it was time for supper and our trip back to see Maegann. Isaac went off with the pastor's wife about 5:30 and they went to Applebee's and then to a new ice cream shop in town before hanging out at their house until we came for him. Such a blessing!
Other happenings today was the hydro-seeding of the lawn. We should see green in about a week! SO thankful.
Tomorrow I will tackle the laundry, school with Isaac, drop Isaac off at church for Patrick time and drop a letter off at the school office for Michael (boyfriend). I am hoping to do zero paid work, but we'll see what the day brings.
