To Blog or Not to Blog

Friday, June 01, 2018

I have never been on blogging, but I knew I needed to do this for the team as well as for myself.

I am I caregiver for my DH who is a 100% Disabled Vet. He served 27 years in the Navy and was injured after being blown off the flight deck of an aircraft carrier. All of the broken bones and injuries to his back are really catching up with him. He has started falling and I have to keep a close watch on him. Any one who has been a caregiver knows what I am talking about.

Three years ago on May 29th I had surgery for breast cancer. I saw my oncologist yesterday and he said that everything was good and to come back in six months. Going through Chemo and Radiation treatments are very hard on your body. Some of the meds you might have to take a toll on me too. I tried to do some things during challenges and it wasn't always easy but it made me feel better and helped me make it through.

I don't always have time to write a blogs let alone get my exercise done. I have been doing these challenges since 2013 and they have always been my safe place where I can relieve the stress I may have on certain days.

I may not get a chance to blog again during this last week of our challenge, but I enjoyed writing this one.

What I have learned through these challenges and through the stressful things I may be going through, is TO NOT GIVE UP!! A little is better than nothing. God bless those who read this and the DAWGS will keep pushing forward. Love my fellow dawggies and I hope you are doing great through this challenge.

See you around the kennels!

Hugs, Sue

We cheer you on for being who you are and being such a support for your husband. You are his rock. Now don't forget to take a little time for yourself now and then. You are important too.
