"Dream big and dare to fail." Norman Vaughan
There was this lady who was visiting a church one Sunday. The sermon seemed to go on forever, and many in the congregation fell asleep. After the service, to be social, she walked up to a very sleepy looking gentleman, extended her hand in greeting, and said, "Hello, I'm Gladys Dunn." And the gentleman replied, "You're not the only one ma'am, I'm glad it's done too!!"
It's the American Backyard Campout! Can't make it to the nearest National Park/Forest? No problem, set up that tent in the backyard and enjoy! It's also the ARRL Field Weekend (American Radio Relay League annual contests), Widow's Day (recognizes the trials and tribulations of widow's around the world, often without family support), Let It Go Day (encourages you to release the past and have no regrets), Hydration Day (a reminder to stay hydrated for a healthy body. Sparkers need no reminder.), Pink Flamingo Day (celebrate the kitschy lawn ornaments, right next to the gnomes), Public Service Day (honors those in public service such as the police, firefighters, and EMT's. No mention of politicians.), Runner's Selfie Day (is that safe?), SAT Math Day (to honor Alan Turing's birthday, work on your favorite (?) math problem), Typing Day (who remembers typing class?), Women in Engineering Day (highlights the contributions of women in engineering which is often overlooked), Pink Day (celebrate the joy this color represents), and Pecan Sandies Day (oh, now I'm hungry).
