took measurements today

Tuesday, July 03, 2018

I took measurements today. Not my exact starting measurements, but they won't be too much smaller. I also made a chart in which I can cross off weights once I am below them. I made it big and hung it in my closet- it makes it seem so much more real to see each pound taking up space on the wall, just like it takes up space on my body.

I am not sure how often I will take measurements. Maybe once a month? I weigh in every day because it keeps me accountable, but I only change my weight "officially" if the scale tells me the same thing (gain or loss) at least 3 days in a row. Otherwise it is simply the fluctuation of water weight in my body.

I can't believe I am right back where I started all over again. I am sure I could find a million excuses but it comes down to me and the choices I have made. Those choices need to change: I am choosing my health! I am choosing to lose the weight so I can hurt less. I am choosing to make choices that will then allow me to not cringe when I look into my full length mirror.

Great planning. You can do it. One day at a time.
