I Stand 4 Families!
Wednesday, July 04, 2018
Yesterday I participated in a prayer vigil and Jericho March. It was the first time I ever attended such an event. This is what I wrote about the day:
Happy 4th of July! Our great nation was built on the idea of liberty and justice for all! somehow that seems to have changed when it comes to oppressed people! Today I'll march and I'll stand up for immigrants in cages. I know that one day, I will look back on the history of the US, and be glad that I took the time on a hot day in July to speak up for those who cannot stand. Those who are separated from their families as they sought asylum John and I are attending the prayer vigil at the ICE office in Manchester, NH. The vigil is held monthly and is a peaceful protest.
In 50 years or less, we will see if President Trump made America Great, or did it become something else. Today it's clear that how illegal immigrant families are treated in our country is wrong. I want it changed, and I'm willing to stand out in the hot sun to say so. I have one voice, and I'll use it to speak up for the oppressed. Today I'll stand for families!
