So, its hotter enough to make a dragon wanna retire!!
I have stayed indoors with the air conditioner all day.
Thankful that the power is on and no issues because I dont think me and my little dog would survive this heat.
We would be on the back porch with cold water in a wash tub trying to stay cool.
not a bad idea really.
I have continued to watch my carb intake, but now I find myself going over my calories, even without having any milk, bread or sweets.
I have friends doing keto, some say they are only eating about 900 calories a day, while others say dont worry about calories...I wont call my current eating plan KETO, but very low carb. I focus on carbs, but I just find myself still wanting to worry about calories. Call me crazy, but I cant see how eating high fat and high calories is going to help anyone lose weight?
This is a tough thing for me to figure out. Some days I find myself searching for veggies I can add to meals to up my fiber and even get my calories in range, other days, I go over my calories....while staying under carbs.
But even with trying to eat healthy some days I find myself pushing about 100 to 150 over my allowed calorie intake.
I had lost some weight the last time I got on the scale, about 12 days ago, I havent been back on again since. Vacation I did let go of counting a little, not extreme, but I enjoyed my two days in the Smoky Mountains.
I want to just focus on exercise and healthy eating instead of that number.
But the number I am focusing on now is calorie intake.
So, here I am with tracker in front of me changing meal plans, adding, subtracting. scratching my head.
I really find it a struggle to get the right balance between getting the right number of calories, carbs, fat and protein.
But I made a commitment with my friend to stick this plan out until I go back to the doc in August so I am sticking low carb.
I just hope I am not disappointed when I do get back on the scale again.
