That Illusive Something...

Every night this week I have wanted "something" different than usual. That illusive "something" that I haven't had recently and hits just the right spot. Last night it was something citrusy. My husband got me some key lime pie. Usually if I crave something, I can eat a serving of it and be satisfied. But last night I picked at it until half of it was gone! Oops! Blood sugar overload! Tonight I wanted pasta. Our granddaughter is spending the night & macaroni is her favorite. So we made Mac & cheese. So far I just had 1 bowl & it is higher carb than my usual but overall macros for the day aren't bad. Hopefully that is all for the night. I hate when I'm hungry for something but don't know what.     I find when I'm hungry for something but don't kow what, it just because I'm bored. If I realize it before I eat something, I will first drink a tall glass of lemon water then pick up a book, clean up the kitchen, do laundry or walk outside There's nothing worse than eating when you're really not hungry.

    I do that a lot. My binge food this week has been ice cream. I do keep it to about 1/2 cup so that isn't too bad and doesn't affect my blood sugar that bad. Just can't let myself go back for 2nds.

    That is a lousy feeling to crave some illusive item. Wish I understood that.
