Screw the scale

I'm finally reading "The Spark" and I just got the chapter on fitness and I really needed the reminder that "the scale doesn't know it all". I'm feeling amazing. Skating a couple of hours a week, yoga and poi and belly dance at home in between. My clothes are fitting better and some have already passed into the "far too big" zone. I've lost a total of 6 inches...but that darn scale isn't moving as fast or as consistently as I had come to expect. I'm not discouraged exactly but it IS frustrating.
The thing is, I'm being active every day. I have the award to prove it. #21days as of today. That is from ZERO just a month ago. I'm taking the stairs at work and not looking for the closest parking spots. My blood sugar readings are firmly within the normal range, something that even with medication I haven't seen in YEARS. By every measure I am wildly successful. Screw the scale.
