Sometimes Temptation Comes Knocking at your Door!
Thursday, August 23, 2018
Literally. Husband just knocks on the door, "You want a coke?". Now there is none in the house. I have told him I wanted to give it up. I don't miss it. It is hard to resist if I see a soft drink serving machine, but fortunately I haven't been to one of those places lately.
And if it's in my refrigerator? There is no resisting. I would measure and write down the calories (at first). A small amount did satisfy, for awhile. But you know what happens, the portions get larger and you stop keeping track. Empty calories providing zero nutrition, who needs that?
Well, I just said in reply, "Why did you ask me that?" "I'm going fine without it"
I'm not saying I'll never have another coke. I probably will. But I'll notice how awfully sweet it is. I'll be thinking, you don't really need this and I won't drink the whole thing. But I no longer want to have it in my house, tempting me.
