Another way to be happier is to snuggle up. Touching and hugging can release your body's Natural "Feel-Good Hormone."
I don't know too many people who don't feel better after receiving or giving a hug. Our youngest Grand-daughter, Nola, gives the best hugs in the world. I had two spinal surgeries recently, and when Nola came to see me in the hospital, she crawled up on the bed and gave me a very gentle hug (her parents coached her about how fragile my back would be for awhile). Since then, whenever she comes here, she gives me her full-blown Nola-Hug and then quickly asks if it hurt me. I give her a strong hug back and she smiles. This happens when she gets here and when she leaves. My "Feel-Good Hormone" is well cared for.
