August 31

Last day of August...wrapped up another month!! Managed to head towards my goal..but not quite there. So keep plugging along and if I stumble and I have..get up and look forward...that is after all the direction I am going!
A new Challenge..Walk Across Canada..I think that should take a while. You can choose to start anywhere. I figure if I am walking across Canada I might as well start on the West and proceed to the East...so start in BC..seems they have chosen Victoria as a starting point. Should be fun..will look up and learn about areas as I pass thru them. emoticon
Was easy to get steps in today..between shopping..yes I walk fast and push a heavy cart!
Then yard work..Miss Molly likes to dig...she watched as I repaired her work! I knew Labs like to dig..I did not know they liked to trim the trees! She has chewed the lower branches off of several of my trees. They needed trimming...but that was not exactly the way I intended to do it! She had a nest of Pine branches, Spruce branches and Cottonless Cotton wood branches..then she would chew on one..then the other going back and forth between them all. Keeping her teeth clean and sharp I guess..heee heee.
I did repair some damage by a bush I am trying to get going. Filled the hole..big one! Then put up a boarder fence with supports pounded in the ground. and put a tomato support ring around the bush. Molly strolled by later to check it out. She sniffed one of the supports and as she did I did a NO type noise. She just looked at me so innocently as if saying Ahh Mum I was just checking out your hard work!! Brat!!
She and Skinner have been getting acquainted thru the fence. Skinner comes up and drops his head down so Molly can sniff..then Molly runs around the yard like crazy. Back to Skinner more sniffing then running with Skinner watching and occasionally looking at me in wonderment ..What is that silly critter doing??
I have been taking apple slices and carrots to Skinner each AM. I get a bit and he gets the rest. This has become a routine, he will not reach for the first piece until I have taken a bite..but once the bite is taken he immediately reaches over with that top lip to get his share of it. So we have a fruit and veggie breakfast to start the day! I was slow getting the carrot bite the other day..still had carrot in my face and suddenly there was a gray top lip caressing my cheek. I prefer to think caressing rather than taste testing!! Nice way to start the day!
So until it gets too cold to stand out there...I will have breakfast with my great gray friend.
Ya'al have a fun weekend and enjoy! Nite now!

As soon as I figure out what Google pics has done to my pictures I will have some to post..right now..they will not transfer from Google pics to SP! Not a happy camper!!

Ahhh … Molly was just trying to help with the trimming of your trees. We had two labs and miss them every day.

They liked to dig. Hubby put their … ummm, poop in their freshly dug hole and put some dirt over it. They didn't return to that hole and after awhile they quit digging up the yard.

Either the process worked … or they just got tired of digging.

Looking forward to the pictures. I love Skinner and Molly even without meeting either.

Is the walk across Canada a Spark challenge?
