What Does A Hug Feel Like To You???????
Sunday, September 02, 2018
Millions and millions of years would still not give me half enough time to describe that tiny instant of all eternity when you put your arms around me and I put my arms around you.
Jacques Pre'vert
Obviously, the feeling that you get when you hug someone depends solely on who it is. My Grand-daughters can turn a Good-bye (when they leave our house to go home with their Mom and Dad) into so many hugs and kisses that you would think that we would not be seeing them for a very long time. I love every one of them, but..............they invoke a different feeling than the one I have when I hug my husband. I also hugged a dear friend just a couple of weeks ago when she was leaving to go to the hospital for a Lumpectomy. She has since found out from her oncologist that she feels strongly that all cancer cells have been dealt with. My hugs for her were of friendship and encouragement. When the Foreign Exchange Student from New Zealand (who lived with us for 10 months) left to go home, we were hugging like it was the loss of a daughter that I was fairly certain I would never see again. We do still keep in touch but have to settle for Virtual hugs.
How many different hugs do you experience in a day?
