Nola

Our Grand-daughters stayed with us this weekend. Their parents were going to pick them up bright and early this morning to take them to church, so I had them take showers before the movies and popcorn last night. Elizabeth is 11, and I knew that she was fine taking care of everything for her shower, so I didn't say anything. Then it was Nola's turn (she is 6) and I set out her towels and gave her the shampoo and soap and adjusted the water temperature. Then I asked her if she needed any more help and she said, "Grandma................I am 6 now..............NOT 4. I don't need any help." I said, "OK" and started to leave the bathroom and close the door when she yelled out, "Grandma..................can you hear me if I DO need help? And.................leave the door open too." I couldn't resist and had to come back with, "But I thought you were 6 and didn't need my help anymore." To which she replied, "Well, I've only been 6 for 3 months, and I guess that I just MIGHT need you."
Little Miss Independence in so many ways...............but she still wants us very close by..............Just in case............I LOVE it. It is nice to be needed.
