"Never Monday!"

In the past, I was notorious after a 'slip-up' on my journey to postpone restarting until Monday. Even if I slipped on a Monday... I would bury myself in my self-pity and say "Monday I'll start again!" Over the past year I've done some REAL! REAL! REAL! soul searching and concluded that I'm standing in the way of progress by waiting. All the waiting does is allow for more and more calories to be consumed! I'm just sick of the upward swing on the scale. I don't have it in me to keep gaining weight and having to add more and more to the distance to my goal.

I'm grateful for the lessons that I'm learning alone the way. Lord knows its about time! LOL! When I have an occasion to 'slip-up' (we all do!), I get right back on that horse and continue to press my way. Am I perfect...NOway! Am I wiser.... for SURE!

Thanks Spark community for always encouraging and sending good vibes. I truly need it!

    OMGosh, right?! I've done the same thing. This year is the first year that on my "slipups", I just begin the calendar the very next day. I've started on a Tuesday, a Thursday....and once on a Saturday. My thing was that although I was starting over, I wasn't because I really was just "keeping on".

    It's all in the mindset. It really is.

    Keep moving forward. Set backs are going to happen. But, don't wait. Get right back at it. I keep a calendar of what I'm supposed to be doing at the gym. When I fall off, no matter how long. I just go to the calendar to see where to get back on.
