Yesterday, our whole town was without "power" from 7am to 1pm-
But-(that big "butt"!)--We had the power---with the generator banging away outside the kitchen window-
Himself and I were up at 5-30am---feeding Germans (as in dogs)- and at one minute after 7am, we were outside with flash lights , (It was the crack of dawn)-
We moved the choke, turning on the gas, attached the huge cable from the generator to the metre-flipped up the buttons , AND----VOILA!--- the power went into the house----and----- I looked in the house----AND THERE WERE LIGHTS----
The pump was working , which meant we could use the taps and washrooms---and-----the best part of all----THE FURNACE WORKED---
To me, it was a miracle-----
Outside, It was only 3 degrees with rain---
This massive machine, made a wet, cold day livable-
Because Son#4 advised us not to use electronics with this machine sent from Heaven, Himself was not glued to CNN or CBC all day--
I went for a very long walk, and I even made a couple of blueberry pies (I really sorta am that pie Lady you see!)-
So, the days roll on here, as the seasons change.
The bird feeders are full of birds-some heading south--some east or west--
This huge one has been hanging around the kitchen window feeder--a Morning Dove, and she has moved in, her Himself and her 2 huge babies-
-They seems to fill up on Niger seed--
I told her about Spark Birds-She said she would look into it--
The weight (My Weight!)-is still under the 200 mark---but----I know it will not remain there if I don't get journaling and out walking --
and this is an "IMAC" blog--hope it only comes thru once!
I do love yu all and wish you would get out there and meet me at the boat landing--
Watch for Bears lurking behind trees!
