It's raining here--lightly---
I walked Tess, the German, as in dog, so she could do her business-
We didn't go far---

Tess was born September 23rd, 2011 which means she is going into her 8th year-
--not too bad for a large dog--

We purchased her from a kennel north of Toronto----she is a long haired Shepherd, which the kennel had kept , thinking they may show her---
She was about 6 mos old when they flew her up here--into Sudbury, in a pink crate-

Tess however developed Blastomycosis, when she was about 2 yrs of age--a fungal pneumonia.
Himself and I had never heard of it---
The vets told us she probably had breathed in spores from the air or the dirt in the area--that it is common near lakes and areas where there are evergreens---

Her temperature at the vets was 105-----a normal dog's temp. is 101--
They gave me Anti fungal meds for her, and told me, "If she survives the week, she will probably live"-

Well, Tess and I became a team--- me determined to keep her alive , and her looking like "death"--for the next 7 mos----
She lived on ice cream for 4 mos---
$7000 , it cost us to get her better!

But, the Antifungal meds , I'm sure have deadened her taste buds----making her still not too interested in food--
Her lungs are compromised--(She pants a lot)-and I still sit with her, meal after meal, encouraging her to eat-----

This morning she ate her breakfast well--which made my day---

So, it's an UBER DAY----and Tess will be left alone, and Beau the big bully guy will be crated until I get back home---
And life just rolls on and on here----
