October 12, 2018 LET’S PRAY

How often do we really talk to God? How often do we listen to Him? We actually have an opportunity to talk to and listen to God anytime we want. He is ready 24/7/365 to hear us. He longs for us to call His name and to give Him our troubles. He wants us to have a relationship with Him. When we go to Him only when we are in trouble that is not a real relationship. We should go to Him every day with gratitude, with thanksgiving and with love. God wants our prayers to be regular, sincere and faithful.

SCRIPTURE:
1 John 5:14-15 “And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.” (NLT)

ACTION STEPS:
1. Write when and why you pray to God.
2. List the ways you show Him gratitude.
3. Know God wants you to know Him better.
4. Seek ways to build your relationship with God.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, we are so grateful You hear us when we pray to You. We are so honored You created us, You love us and You want to help us. We are so pleased to have You as our Lord and Savior. You give us hope. You give us peace. You give us love. Without You we are certainly nothing. Help us to remember to show gratitude to You, praise You and pray to You every day. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

REMEMBER:
We can get to know God better when we take time to read His word and pray.

When we pray asking God to help us and we believe He will answer, He will.

God wants our prayers to be regular, sincere and faithful.

God wants us to know that He is able and willing to help us if we would only come to Him.

We need to be aware of our prayer time and ensure we are praying persistently for our lives and the lives of others.

FOCUS:
Ephesians 6:18 “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.” (NLT)
