I don't know if Nike knew their ad would change the lives of many people when they came out with their campaign. For me, well, I didn't really think too much about that slogan until lately.

You see, I belong to a challenge, actually Two challenges where you have to post your weight for everyone to see on weigh-in day once a week. I don't normally care, but i did lately And that's a Good thing.

I got all excited when last week i lost a substantial amount of weight, after gaining week after week and losing a little bit to regain it back again during the challenge for almost 10 weeks. The thought of gaining again even if it was a smidgen was bothering me. Yeah, it was getting personal!

So I told myself JUST DO IT.

Actually I read in someone's success story that they JUST DID IT.

And I thought, yeah, Good Idea.

I guess when you feel more responsible, are more aware of consequences or maybe it's just because of your ego, you begin to care a bit more.

I'm always in my head, thinking about: "well, it's okay", "i can let it slide, i can regain control", "maybe i shouldn't" "not now". But no. Now that I'm older, i need to work harder at it.

JUST DO IT seems so easy, but there is POWER in those words. The power to succeed at weight loss, in your career, school, relationships, any undertaking where you know you have to work hard to get where you want to be. I've been away from Spark for a bit as well. But I'm back.

What am I DO-ing actually? Well, tracking food , tracking exercise, sticking to my calorie budget. Connecting to the people in my challenges/Spark Teams and doing their challenges. Blogging and posting commentary. Cheering my friends on in the Friend Feed, Community Feed. Reviewing my goals. Did I miss anything?
No more compromises, no more doubts, no more fears. JUST DO IT.
