Vacations can be done with healthy eating

I did well with 12 days on the road - told family members in car and that we visited that I was Celiac and diabetic - no wheat, barley, rye or sugar and only gluten free grain items. Wholesome meals, had supply of Glucerna bars and Pure Protien Bars for snacks and ate well. Meats, eggs, salads, Gluten free tortillas, lots of veggies and occasional fruit. 4 ounce yogurts, peanut butter, cream cheese and boiled egg available at Continental breakfasts at motels. Drank lots of water, tea and one coffee a day with half a protein shake over ice. Came home exhausted and fibro pain over the top due to no normal sleep. but am catching up on that at home.... all in all, claiming success for 69 year old, walking with canes and pampered by daughter that did the driving and hubby that was always fretting over me.
I am spoiled, loved and honored. Back to healthy eating and living efforts and successes.
