My First Post

I'm really excited to find this online community. A couple of my good friends recommended it and so here I am. As I said in my profile I started getting really serious about my workouts after I turned 50 and was faced with a health issue. I'm past that now and have accomplished all of my goals with the help of a personal trainer and very good friends and family. I actually look forward to my workouts every week and I never thought I would say that. I have two gym memberships and a very well-equipped gym in my basement and so my environments are very supportive. I also have very supportive relationships with my husband and other family and friends and they keep me going. I really enjoy working out with my friends. Very rarely do I dread going to the gym these days. But when I first started working out I was so reluctant. If it wasn't for my husband going with me I don't think I would have made it. And then once I took the step to hire a personal trainer everything changed. My confidence soared. I achieved goals I never even thought I could. My goal for now is to maintain where I'm at and to learn all I can about Fitness.I'm studying for my PT certification and hope to take that in the next three to four months. I'm just starting out though and have lots to learn. I'm working out with my hubby today. I'll be focusing on arms, core and of course cardio. I'm doing interval training which I have to say is not my favorite but I love a challenge. I think my biggest challenge right now are the changes I'm seeing in my skin. I live in a very dry climate. I'm staying hydrated and have incorporated a couple of supplements into my daily regimen and of course lots of moisturizer. So, that's my first post! I'll be sharing more about my own journey and look forward to connecting with you.
