getting back on track

Thursday, November 15, 2018

It's been a while since I wrote a blog. I have let myself go and had a couple of health issues along the way. I gained almost 50 lbs back and I do not like myself.
My doctor overdosed me on Synthroid and I went into A-Fib and it took 4 days for my heart get into regular rhythm again. It was very scary. And as a result , I was scared to take any Thyroid meds again. As a result , I gained a massive amount of weight and felt so tired that I could barely do housework. I just sat around and slept a lot. I found a new doctor and he started me back slowly on Thyroid meds again and I am feeling better and stated to exercise again. I lost a little bit of weight and I have a long way to go. After another A-Fib attack, I am now on regular blood thinners and meds to regulate my heart rate.
I am hopeful that with the support of my doctors, family and all of my Spark friends and will be successful again.
I started tracking all my food again and walk short distances. I have done before and I am confident that I can do it again.

WOW! That does sound like a big scare. So glad it was just scary and not tragic. Welcome back! So glad you are here and back on track again. You've got this. Anyone who survives two scary A-fib trials is going to be totally awesome at any thing/every thing else you do!

emoticon Take everything one day at a time … start small and work up on exercise. SP recommends 10 minutes a day to start and then build from there.

    Take care of yourself.
