And a good day was had by all. Too much food.
This pic from last year but this years table was just as loaded...send almost every storage container I had home with someone, plus my fridge was screaming NO MORE!! I do not believe I will need to cook for a week at least! We had a nice visit..went out to mess with the donkeys and took a short walk about here.
By the time everyone left we had cleaned the kitchen , which I greatly appreciated! Plus I think some were standing up to do dishes to keep from falling asleep. The guys were knee deep in football. I had to stop for a moment and think ,,indeed how fortunate we are. We have food that we can get and prepare by just walking into a store. We have our homes with heat to be comfortable. We have friends and family to share our days with. So I had to stop it all for a moment of prayer for those working thru this day and the soldiers that are far away from all of this. One of my friends, Madison , is former military so she really "gets" it.
Tomorrow will be the craziness of Black Friday...do they call it that because all the stores know at days end they will be in the Black for sure? It is a process I have never joined in, nor do I have any inclination to ever do so. I like browsing little shops with hand made items..a stroll thru a small village checking the wares of local craftsmen is much more the thing I like to do.
At the moment I am past tired and ready to sleep this nite away.
I do hope that it was a good day for all and that many happy memories were made!
