Night owls

Tuesday, November 27, 2018

Who else is a night owl? I have been one ever since I worked the graveyard shift for a year. And I cant seem to break the habit/cycle. To be completely honest it really sucks! I cant work out while my family is sleeping. I tend to trip over myself or lose my balance. I end up falling and making a loud noise that wakes everyone up. But I cant work out during "day hours" because I'm sleeping. I dont need to cut back on sleep because Samme with no sleep turns into Samme the Beast. 🤣 I feel like I'm in a lose/lose situation but I will not give up! I refuse to give up!

I find my balance by going to the gym in the early morning hours. I know that this isn't optional for lot of people, but it works for me and my schedule. There are time if I'm schedule to go back to work that night; I will get a 30 minute workout done after work, or if I have the opportunity I will walk inside at work. It's hard to find that balance. I hope things will improve for you.

I have times where sleep eludes me and I am up for days with only a couple of hours sleep each night. It is awful! I hope that you get caught up and sleeping at night.

Wishing you all of the best. I worked night shift for 2 years and it was brutal. Everything felt backwards. I hope you get some good sleep soon. Insomnia is tough!
