Couch to 1/2 Marathon Training

I just finished week 6 with a 5 mile walk/jog interval. This is the first time that my legs got tired while doing the intervals. This is also my first time doing 5 miles. So far I can handle 3 mins. running, 2 mins. walking, but for one of my shorter runs this week I had to do 4 mins. running, 2 mins. walking and I could barely do it. I start to have doubts but I hate not following through, so I an still at it. Plus, I am doing this to run with my 12 year old son (he is training with a program through his school) and I cannot let him see home give up. 14 weeks to go!!

    You can do it. If you need to shorten your running time. It really does make a difference.
    I ran a half marathon last Sunday doing 20 sec running, 40 sec walking and got a new personal best.
