Trying to be 1% better every day

Friday, December 21, 2018

There are all kinds of challenges waiting for me in 2019, most of all, regaining my strength and flexibility after the back surgery. It's not easy after six months of resting. I went for a short walk this morning, and boy do I feel it. Last week I did a 15-minute walk with Leslie Sansone (the easiest possible exercise before surgery) and my legs were burning! One thing is for sure, I never, ever want to do this again. So I'll make sure that I do whatever I can, especially after I come back from the rehabilitation center - to get even stronger than I was prior to surgery. I am starting Now. Not after the New Year's. Now. If I get 1% better every day, I will be so much stronger this time next year. Small changes add up.
Apart from getting stronger, my goal is to stay away from sweet foods as much as possible. Haven't figured that one out yet, but I know that with time, I will get better at it. If I could lose weight back in 2012, I can do it again!
