chip chip chipping away

Thursday, January 03, 2019

It has been a month since I logged onto SP.
Honey had to have surgery for a kidney stone, then after going back to work from that time off, he cut his hand very badly and had to have 17 stitches, he refused to take time off work, so he hasnt had the best healing time.
But he is back now and the bills are rolling in.
He had surgery at one hospital, he gets a statement from his insurance of all the bills totalled up from that surgery, including meds, recovery, iv, ekg, anestesia, ALL total it was just over 12 thousand....
ok, he gets a bill from the second hospital where he had to do the CT scan, ONE ct scan alone totalled nearly 10 thousand.
what is wrong with this picture???
Thank God for insurance but even then he is getting hit with all the co-payments and stuff that the insurance didnt pay.
I am guess-timating here but I am figuring out of pocket to be nearly 3 thousand when all is said and done.
One dollar at a time is my motto.
It is what it is.
At least workers comp paid for his er visit and stitches.
Now as for other news.
I was gaining like crazy.
I am up a full 33 lbs from my low weight of this time 2017.
So, I have lost 5 since Christmas and I am working slowly to chip away at that number as well.
One pound at a time is my motto.
I am doing better.
Going to the track soon to get my walk in, hoping to do 3 miles today.
Slowly chipping away at the stress, bills, pounds and junk.
Yesterday I cleaned the spare junk room and tomorrow I am going to start on the 3rd bedroom, I have a futon I am going to sell and buy one of those big air mattresses and set up a guest room in there.
It may become my summer bedroom as I had to remove the a/c in my bedroom and am going to have to replace a window and repair a wall from water leak damage.....aint it always something......
Yes it is!!!
I am not letting this stuff get to me, I am determined to work hard this year and do all these things that need done one at a time.
