Wildcard Games Sunday (Jan. 6th)

Sunday, January 06, 2019

Our evening with Maegann's friend Riley and his mom was very fun once everyone broke through the initial nerves of not knowing each other. They want to come back so we will have to plan another game night with them in about a month. Michael was over until about 10 minutes before he knew they were coming and we couldn't get him to stay. I made sure he knew in a casual way that I wished he was staying, so I hope that helped him know there was nothing being hidden from him. That was the goal. He and Maegann are still communicating easily today so that's good.

Worship was "okay" this morning only because the speaker, who is the husband of the gal he spoke at the breakfast yesterday, was not holding my attention easily. He was a lot better than his wife though! LOL His overall point was interesting so that helped.

Once home we had leftovers for lunch and now I'm Sparking and watching football. I'm rooting for the underdogs in the playoff games since none of my favorites are even in it this season. Once I'm done with SP, I will get the meal plan written and order a couple of prescription refills. Nothing too exciting! I do have a load of laundry in the dryer to fold when it is done.

Tim is working on the house (the bathroom for the future master suite due to plumbing and that we'd like a second bathroom) now that he got some firewood cut. Isaac is stacking the wood and then he will go out and play basketball. Maegann isn't feeling that great, but I think it is just fatigue. I am allowing her to get a new comforter that fits her bed (hers is a twin and totally worn out) as there could be something to the weight and compression that can come from being tucked in on the sides (sensory need).

Tomorrow Tim is helping Wendall with fencing, Isaac will be back to school and Maegann works at 4. Overall the day should be pretty quiet. I haave a couple plans to finish (the boys who came over Friday morning) and a few more budget reviews.

I have a dream of a weighted blanket someday. They are becoming pretty popular these days but still cost a lot of money. I totally understand that sensory need.

Glad you had a good Sunday. I love your poster!

I'm glad that game night was fun, but sorry that Michael chose not to stay. It's good that M&M were still talking though. Growth opportunity, right?

I am glad it went well.I have to say I approve of Maegann having other friends Michael has to learn that there are many people in the world and Maegann is allowed to have friends. I was in the air force as a pilot so I have had friends since I was 16 who are male.I was never romantically involved with them but they were good friends. At first my husband found it a bit daunting but he got used to it.

Glad your game night went well. I love playing games board, cards and dice. They are so much fun especially when you have a good group of people playing. Our kids always loved playing games and now the grandkids do as well.

What a wonderful day you had and I am delighted that you've made some new friends with Maegann's friend Riley and his mom!!! It's so cool to make new friends and meet new people. I am glad that you put Michael at ease even though he chose not to stay. You did the right thing and there should be no stress on your part whatsoever.

So, you're getting a second bathroom, YEA!!! That is a must for me to have two bathrooms even though it's only me.

How's Maegann doing with work? I know the last I read, she handled the stress situation she was in at work, due to the schedule, if I remember correctly. All I see is good things for her and once she understands this, there will be a shift. YEP, your young lady is doing some GREAT things!!!

Isaac is learning more and more from not only his mistakes but from the praises that he gets from you, Tim, Maegann, his coach, and even his team members. He's a fantastic young man in spite of him going off the chain, so to speak, sometimes.

Janet, you and Tim are doing just what God wants you to do with your family and it's BEAUTIFUL!!!
