We were not able to sleep in much as Isaac had basketball practice at 9 instead of 11. I took about 30 minutes for myself before coming home and then found Tim and Maegann just as unmotivated as me. So what did we do while Isaac was working hard...we took spots on the comfy furniture and took turns letting the dogs in and out. We all had our moments of falling asleep too.
Once Isaac was home and lunch was done we all got busy on our own things. Isaac slept, Tim started cleaning and organizing in the addition so he could start the next round of construction mess making, Maegann started researching and applying for scholarships and then started looking for new car listings and I did paid work as none was accomplished yesterday.
Around 3pm Maegann was hunting down her dad because she had found a car. As Tim would say "she never should have been able to get this car" and he says that because it was such a good deal, she was not the first caller and those great deals don't last on the listings more than a few hours. Typically the sellers won't call you back if the previous contacts don't show up--especially when their phone wasn't stopping with inquiries--but they did and she grabbed her dad and off they went. Here is what she got for $375:
A 2002 Volvo, fully loaded. It even has little windshield wipers on the headlights. LOL It will need a little work as it has been sitting for 7 months, but the main things are typical. A battery and oil change. Tim said the axle joints (u-joints) will need replaced, but not a must do before you drive around town. I was able to take her aside and remind her to look for God's Hand working things out once again She needed a reliable car now that she has two part-time jobs and is starting cosmetology school the first of March. She had just begun saving for the car purchase and she had $400. She was still digging out of yesterday's depression and feeling down on herself, but by focusing on school and then car hunting she seemed to be stronger.
Right now she and Michael are having a fun shopping trip in the auto section at Walmart. Tim gave them his list and she wanted to look at seat covers. They have been on the phone off and on with Tim the entire time. They are both learning about automotive cost and how many of the same things are on the shelf.
I finally stopped working about 7pm and then had a light supper before Sparking and turning on "Tool Time". Once the kids are all in bed for the night Tim and I hope to have time for an episode of "The Blacklist".
Tomorrow...church and football for me!
