This is a Premium Coach exercise from yesterday about intuitive eating. I have known since a young child intuitive eating although of course as a child I did not know about the given name for it. Ever since I was a kid I only ate when I was hungry. I was only hungry in the evening so I ate some of dinner and I ate the rest a couple of hours later as the dinner was a lot of food for me. I went through so much with this growing up in a clean your plate household. Finally my mom finally got that I couldn't eat when I was not hungry my body threw it up. Then I had to deal with Gastroenterologists running stomach tests and never finding anything. I just wanted to be left alone. This is just how my body is. I have eaten like this my whole life and have been fine.
Now at 49 I am am going through the same crap only with Dr.'s and Dieticians. You have Diabetes now and can't only eat one meal a day. We have to find out what is going on and fix it. Well we found out what is going on but it is too severe of a case to fix the Gastroenterologist said. I have Gastroparesis. What they have done is put me on an anti nausea medication to keep my stomach from throwing up. It has worked but I am miserable still eating when I am not hungry.
Now I hear a lot about intermittent fasting diets. I am like well this is how I normally ate to begin with. I am thinking of ditching the anti nausea medication and go back to my intuitive eating. My blood sugars were actually better managed when I ate how I naturally ate to begin with.
