So far everything is going well, I am tracking my food each day and getting plenty of exercise. I was tested last week playing lawn bowls 10 days in a row. Last Sat/Sun I represented my Central Otago centre as a singles player in our development team of 10 players playing against 5 other centres representing the lower half of the South Island (New Zealand). We finished a close second whilst our senior team won their section so it was a brilliant result overall. Being away from home meant having to be very vigilent of my food intake. It would have been very easy to fall back into old habits, but fortunately I managed it reasonably well and avoided any blow outs. This is also a busy time at our bowling club because the club champs are being played progressively and it is a challenge getting games organised and played on time. My next test comes this weekend with 2 days of golf and, as I haven't played in recent weeks, I will be feeling the strain come Sunday night. The following Thursday 2 friends and I are off on a 6 hour journey to Hokitika over on the West Coast of the South Island for yet another 3 day bowls tournament. Onward and upward as they say.
