What I'm doing right

One of the prompts in my weekend challenge (WEC) for the BLC is "Reflect and blog about what you are doing right this BLC."

I'm still seeing some fluctuations in my weight, dropping a little and then rebounding, but what I am doing better is:

1) exercising more frequently. I thought this would be a huge struggle as my exercise of choice is walking and it's too snowy, icy and freakin' cold out to walk outdoors. But I've found a couple of exercise videos I actually enjoy (Leslie Sansone Walk at Home) and I've actually found I like certain strength training activities.

2) Awareness. Even though I'm struggling with sugar consumption, I feel that I'm very aware of what I'm putting in my body this round. I'm pushing the freggies and protein and trying to limit my sweets to something "better" like a single piece of dark chocolate (as opposed to cake, pecan pie, etc.) Now if I can just hubby to stop making all those other delicious items! (I know, nothing says I *have* to eat them...)

    Good on You! Since I stopped working I no longer have the faculty lounge to put baked goods in. I love to bake and would keep a few pieces or half-dozen cookies/bars at home for Dearly Beloved and put the rest in the lounge. Sometimes things would not even last until lunch!

    Good for you! Having that knowledge makes you unbeatable! Make sure you remind yourself of what you're doing right regularly.
