Into the new year with a month late blog .....

Well January got away from me fast and now we are almost at the 1/2 way mark of February !
Where does the time go ??
I don't even have kids to blame it on. I just have my Dusky and SP that takes up my time. I do have a job (M-F, 6 hours each day) so I don't know how time gets away from me so fast. I turn the computer off at 8:30ish and I'm def not tied to a cell phone at all. I don't go out during the week but def look forward to weekends for some fun times. SO I don't know what my excuse is for not blogging each month …. I just forget I guess.
So the new year has put the holidays behind me and altho I was mindful during that time I did gain a couple of pounds that I shed quite quickly and now working at getting back to increasing my steps. I'd like to get back up to 13k at least by May, which is def doable if I stay committed to it. So far I'm on track.
I'm turning 65 in April so I have the whole medicare situation on my mind to take care of as well as meeting with a financial advisor thankfully that is convenient at work, just need to make the time for it. It does weigh on my mind as I don't know much about it all. I'm thinking of taking a day off and going to the local senior center for some medicare advice?
I'm also late doing my taxes as I usually have it done and waiting for the refund check, hope that's still something to look forward to????
I really need to do some serious clothes shopping too as everything I own is just old and too big. Yes too big is a good thing so I just need to get out there and do it. My excuse for not doing it now is going out at night and it's cold. Once I'm home from work I'd rather not go out, but that will change when it warms up and daylight savings time bring me more daylight.
One of my 2019 goals is to get out and join a monthly group doing something, break out of my shell during the week so keeping that in mind for when the time switch happens.
Hope my blog for March has something more positive to make note of. Of course things really are good in my life and for that I am so very grateful. Living a healthier life is a big part of that as is my faith that keeps me going each day. God is so good.
