Sodium

Sunday, February 17, 2019

I started to get real serious with my sodium. This started a little while ago bc I was having issues with my blood pressure again. I didn't want more meds. Im on enuff. So I'm learning and researching. I was shocked to learn there's sodium in a fresh lime. I shouldn't have been there is sodium in everything even spices. And do u know of u used canned beans because for whatever reason by rinsing and place in a colander let sit a few mins and repeat, u can reduce the sodium by up to 41 %. It's insane. I've been doing well though with it staying under 1200. Once I think I messed up but it wasn't terrible like b4. This is what I love about logging and being able to put ur own info in on ingredients. Well, have a great night. Don't eat that and move it!

You can also look at the no salt added and compare brands. I found the store brand to be a lower in salt then another. Or go bagged beans. 👍👍

Sodium is naturally in many foods. Like sugar, its the added sodium that is the biggest problem. Manufacturers add way too much salt and sugars.

Sodium is on the most unlikely places! Good job getting your sodium.
