Change of focus

I am finding that my focus doesn't need to be on what I eat. If that were the only problem, I would have solved this years ago! I have tried every eating plan there is over the years with the main focus on food choices and certainly, it needs to be good, healthy foods. But I need to get a handle on the behavior causing my issues. So, I am focusing, rather, on the why, when, and how I eat. One strategy that is helping is planning on 3 healthy meals, and two planned snacks a day and by making a plan each morning for what that day's meals will be I can usually manage impulse eating. It feels good to be in control. Never stop trying!
