Oh so typical!

This is my theme with Spark more often than not now... OOPS I FORGOT TO BLOG/POST/CHECK-IN/ETC. I think it's because Spark is different now. And there's things like Instagram and Facebook and all of that and it's so much easier to sign in there, since I do that from my phone. Spark's platform is much clunkier now.
NO MATTER THOUGH. I'm still coming here to blog (until I make my Youtube channel lol!) I've been rocking things out over on Instagram (ahealthierme40 if anyone is interested), and I think I'll stick there for a little bit, and then start Youtube once I have a little progress under my belt.
ANYWAY... that's not why I'm blogging today! lol
Things are going quite well around here. After my super successful January (18.8 lbs lost!), the next week I had a .2 lb gain. I was grumpy. lol But last week I was down two, and then I made up for it this week with a loss of 4 lbs.
I'm going to switch some things up with my diet this week, and going forward:
#1 - I am NOT carbing up today. I'm going to have some 'treats' that I've been avoiding so far (such as a Fathead dough Keto Pizza, and a fizzy artificial sweetener-laden beverage lol). I will still be carbing up from time to time (one meal only, and I'm not sure of the frequency yet) but only because I think it's good to shock the body here and there, and it's also good for my lifting. Especially as I get to the gym more and more (which I plan to.. including getting running again and ya'll I'm so excited to start running again! I just need to lose a bit more poundage so I don't wreck my knees.. I am 40 now and really need to think about that. haha) That and as soon as the weather gets decent, i'm going to resurrect my bikes from the basement and start cycling again on the weekends. CAN'T WAIT!!!!
#2 - I'm going to be introducing more intermittent fasting into my diet. This week will be a preview, as I have tech week for a show, so I won't be able to cook dinner for myself as I'll be in rehearsal each night from 6:30-10. I'm going to use that as a test week to see how my body handles it. I'm going to do an 18/6 split Monday-Friday (maybe Saturday as well). I'll eat breakfast and a nice big lunch, and that'll be it each day! I'll have to make sure I prep well today, so I have enough food to eat. I don't want to be cooking things at 10:00 at night! lol But I'm very curious to see how my body responds. I will definitely do a check in blog next weekend to see what happened!!!
#3 - I will need to up my water again this week. I've still been a little low on the water intake, and with Keto I just can NOT be doing that. No more slacking in that department! I think the fasting will help with my water intake as well, as I'll be drinking that all afternoon and evening to stave off hunger pangs. :) (don't worry ya'll, I'll be eating all my calories for breakfast and lunch, I promise I'm not going to be starving myself!).
