Further progress

Friday, March 01, 2019

My weight continues to reduce at 247lb along with the waistline so very encouraging for me. I went to a local farmer's market yesterday and couldn't resist buying a pork pie and a cherry pie. Had them for lunch - delicious! Just had fruit for dinner to keep within the calorie range for the day. Wouldn't want to make a habit of it though. Doctor rang to say I will need to have more skin taken from around the area on my right arm where he removed what proved to be a melanoma. I was due to get the 10 stitches out on Monday so he will take the extra skin off then which will no doubt mean an even bigger scar. He assures me it is a precautionary measure that is done to safeguard my future so all good as far as I'm concerned. Our team is playing bowls in Arrowtown later today in the Saturday pennants, then tomorrow I am playing in a tournament for years 1-5 bowlers with 18 others at the Alexandra Bowling Club. My RSA club is well represented with 5 of us playing. Had snow on the surrounding hills two days ago so temperatures have been unseasonably low especially at night, but the forecast is good for the next week. No rain to speak of though and the farmers are feeling the pinch. I hope we get some soon for their sake,

You are doing really well :-)

Pork Pie and Cherry Pie sounds yummm. Good luck with your skin removal on Monday.

I've been watching your Temps dropping VERY quickly. I recall it doing that up here (North Auckland) last year too, altho' the temps don't get as low as you guys get (or as hot!)

Glad you are still on track and being mindful of your eating!! Envy your summer weather! It's 6 degrees and 35 below wind chill! Snowing and blowing. Good weekend to stay in and read and simmer soup stock...and of course, the endless shoveling, shoveling, shoveling. Off to the library!

March is certainly "in like a lion" in my neck of the woods! Enjoy your weekend!
