Downward I Go!

Thursday, April 04, 2019

I am so happy for those who had significant losses this round! I just read a message board topic, "Your Journey Is Your Own" which was so insightful. The blogger commented that whether we have 100 pounds to lose or 20 pounds, each of us has the same battle, the same opportunities and we should look at our own journeys and not envy another's. Such good advice!

emoticon This round I lost 3 pounds, not what I had planned, but I am satisfied. I chose a number for the round, but my ultimate goal is to lose weight, to get down to that 'magic' number I chose, so losing 3 pounds is another step toward that goal. During the break I plan to lose another 3 pounds - another step toward that goal. But I will also remember that that 'magic' number isn't what will make me feel complete, it is only a goal to shoot toward so I will have better health.

Loving and leaning into my Lord and my God is what completes and fulfills me, the number will just mean I have succeeded in working toward a goal of better health so I am able to accomplish what He calls me to.

And so - wait for it - onward and DOWNWARD I go!. emoticon Care to join me in the journey? emoticon

I am also down 3 for this round. Also not what I had hoped for, but it is 3 pounds my body does not have to haul around. Progress is progress. We can do this
