Less than 10 percent of this earth is used for growing crops. Yet in God’s plan, He provides for us what we need to eat. He created seed-bearing plants which means we can use the seeds from these crops to grow more food. He also created the animals so we could find nourishment as well. God, in His wisdom, knew our bodies needed food to survive. And He provided for us because He loves us and wants us to be healthy.

Genesis 1:29-30 “Then God said, ‘I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.’ And it was so.” (NIV)

1. Write what you eat that is provided from this land.
2. List the things you eat from animals.
3. Know all you have to eat comes from God.
4. Thank Him for His love and His plan to keep you nourished and healthy.

Dear Lord, we are so grateful for the food You provide for us. Help us to not take it for granted. We want to remember You in all we eat. As we prepare the food, we want to give thanks and as we eat the food we want to enjoy it giving You the glory. Thank You for Your perfect plan to keep us nourished so we can do the work You call us to do. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

It is God who provides the seeds we need to grow great food to eat.

2 Corinthians 9:10a “For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat.” (NLT)

God causes plants and animals to grow so we will have food to eat.

Psalm 104:14 “You cause grass to grow for the livestock and plants for people to use. You allow them to produce food from the earth—” (NLT)

God provides for every living thing on this earth. He provides the nourishment to stay alive.

Psalm 136:25a “He gives food to every living thing.” (NLT)
