April 10, 2019 KNOW WHAT TO BELIEVE
These days it is really hard to believe anything we hear or see. We get so skeptical because we have been lied to or tricked so many times that we just doubt most everything. It makes for a hard life when we don’t have anything to believe in. And when others constantly let us down, we don’t really have anyone to rely on. That is why it is so important to believe in God. God will never let us down. His promises and blessings are overwhelming when we choose to believe in Him. Believing in God doesn’t just mean to know who He is. It means to have faith in Him and have a right relationship with Him.
James 2:19-20 “You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. How foolish! Can’t you see that faith without good deeds is useless?” (NLT)
1. Write what you believe in.
2. List what you think about most.
3. Know God wants you to completely believe in Him.
4. Remember He will never let you down when you have faith in Him.
Dear Lord, we know this world will let us down. We know people will lie to us. We know only You will follow through with Your promises and Your blessings. Thank You that we can put our faith and trust in You, Lord. We know we are made right with You when we believe and have faith in You. Help us to be strong in our faith knowing You will help us in all things. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
If we want to be right we God, we need to believe and put our faith in Him.
Romans 3:22 “We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.” (NLT)
Even in hard times, we can know God is with us and will help us as He has done for so many other believers.
1 Peter 5:9 “Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are.” (NLT)
When we believe in the Lord and have faith in Him, we will be counted as righteous.
Genesis 15:6 “And Abram believed the Lord, and the Lord counted him as righteous because of his faith.” (NLT)
