"B" is for Brain Crash
Tuesday, May 14, 2019
I am holding onto that promise tonight as I've spent over an hour crafting a letter to Maegann's boss outlining the positives and negatives of her time working there and that if this work environment is acceptable to her then Maegann will not be returning. She was going to handle it herself, but today the anxiety caught up with her and she is recovering from a "brain crash". There are other things causing stress for her right now (friends & family days at school), but this is the big one.
Once I got her home from work -- I made her walk out on them after the breakfast shift even though there was nobody to cover -- I got her meds (anxiety and migraine) and sent her to bed. She slept for almost 4 hours. She was so much better by mid-afternoon so I did allow her to go ahead and have dinner with Justin and his family (she was meeting them for the first time) and she seemed to be doing okay so they went and saw a movie afterwards. They were back by 9, but hindsight is always 20/20. I should have said no to the movie. A second crash mainly caused by fatigue. She's now asleep for the night and I'm keeping her home tomorrow.
I tried to get some emails addressed for work and updated the finances, but I couldn't stay focused very well so eventually gave in and worked on my jigsaw puzzle. It's done!
Maegann encouraged me to begin a new one so I chose a smaller one (500 pieces) and have most of the border finished.
The pieces are gigantic compared to the last ones! It's relaxing and that's what I need right now.
Tomorrow morning I have my dental procedure (two fillings related to the metal fillings breaking down) at 8:30 and will then drop off my letter for Maegann's boss. Nice that it is barely 1/2 mile from the dentist's office. Then I'll be home and will need to get some paid work done, some light cleaning and then it's SP and jigsaw puzzle time.
