Self Care Plan

June 1, I sure started the month on the down side, down in weight, down in blood sugar and down in HBP. Of course I got cleaned out the last couple of days but still it felt good.

I read an article the other day on self care. it talked about taking care of ourselves. Not so much the spa days or mani/pedis or exercise but to really take care of you. It was geared to a younger person, who works, has a family, friends and a busy life.

So, I've been thinking a lot about this... I'm old, 76, retired and live alone. I do have family but don't see them a lot. I have friends but mostly in other areas of the country. I've figured that my self care plan will be to do yoga every day, this keeps me limber, well, sort of limber but if I don't I get stiff pretty fast. Then to do meditation, this has helped me over the last couple of years. Then to get out every day for a walk.. I will strive to get 180 minutes a week, minimum.

I need to find some friends or a volunteer job around here and will work on that.

I want to do more spiritual reading too.

So, June 1 was a good start.

    Yes, Good For You! Especially the part about making yourself go out for a walk everyday. I am 70, and sometimes go for months with out ever going out of the house! So, I am working on that. Have a Wonderful June!
