In the last 4 months I’ve been able to resume walking enough to focus on 10,000 steps a day, which is good news. It’s been a difficult year with an injury, the effects lasting for months, and repeated physical therapy; I thought the pain would never lessen. This sure derailed my weight loss efforts, and while I was feeling sorry for myself, I resumed after dinner snacking, a habit I’d fought to break.
Now I’m ready to pay better attention to what I eat and when. My commitment to myself is to log every bite on the nutrition tracker and work towards a healthy balance, while sticking to my calorie range. Our two new family members are further motivation to get outside and move.
