So nice to celebrate, --marching bands, fireworks, time off from work, BBQs going---
"The glorious 4th", my Mom always used to say---
I have always lived close to the border of Canada and the U.S ---
I guess we felt like we were a mix--mostly Canadian, but a little like American too--
Most of us have married someone in the states--or have family members who are now American.
So, there is a wee part of me which must be American.
My Mom and Dad lived in Florida for many many, years---
In fact my Dad, being a civil Engineer, and living in Orlando, designed many of the structures in Disney , there.
So, we sorta celebrate yer Holiday --even tho , we are "the Northerners"-
Our hearts are here in Canada--but--well, yu know, we are sorta attached to you all-
HAPPY JULY 4th, TO ALL OF YOU , SOUTH OF US!
I LOVE YOU ALL TO BITS!
(but---I still want to dine with the Queen)
