FAMILY WEEK AT THE LAKE HOUSE
Tuesday, July 09, 2019
I'm too tired at 7 PM to even go to the kitchen for dinner.
It's Family Week at the Lake House and even though the kids say I don't need to do things, I still set my goals too high. Today I converted a recipe to make gluten free Pumpkin Bread because older son brought special pumpkin he froze last fall. Then I made chocolate and vanilla candy coating to top the Rice Krispy giant bar daughter brought. Made a platter of Caprese Salads with fresh Mozzarella Cheese, then small plate with Goat Cheese for two who are Lactose Intolerant. And all day long there are dishes to wash and dry and the dishwasher that needs emptied. DH spent the day doing as much as he could to help. And older son cut up chicken and did more.
I left kitchen at 6 PM and other adults came in from boat and I just let them complete evening meal. DH is now calling for me to join him for dinner. Guess I'd better go!
Grandkids will always remember Grandma for her cooking - and picture me in front of the sink!
