July in Review and the theme for the coming month.

Wednesday, July 31, 2019

After the disaster that has been July (although I did get 19 days with at least 10 minutes of activity) I have spent these last two days of the month retooling and reevaluating and emailing my coach and I successfully made it to the gym this morning before work! So July was not a total bust on getting to the gym. Barely.

I was working on my bullet journal getting ready for the upcoming month and I was playing with alliterative affirmations to be the theme for August and came up with "Active August" so there we go. My goal is to be active in August. I'm thinking Sustain September will follow because I had such a fantastic June and then lost momentum entirely in July so I'm going to admit that it takes me longer to form habits than "average" and plan for it to take more like 90 days than 21-30 days. I would love for October to be ONEderland October...but I can't get fixated on a scale goal so we'll have to see where we are when we get there. Fortunately Onward October also works. LOL!

I'm also going to give "morning pages" (ala "The Artists Way) a try again. I have hated them every time I've done them but I am trying to give myself another opportunity to figure out what they are all about since so many people/programs swear by them for getting unblocked in creativity and in life.

So that's this month's wrap post. Onward to ONEderland!

I also detest the morning pages, but reading back over them years later gives me a good laugh and some ideas for beading jewelry. Active August indeed. I'm going to adopt that one for my own journey!
