Up at 6 this morning to make sure Maegann was up and moving so she could get to school on time with make-up applied. Once that was done and I packed a snack/lunch bag for her (I didn't mind.) I took my place on the sofa and I slept for a couple of hours. Was easy as Isaac was gone and Tim was still asleep at the other end of the house. Then I got busy with the rest of the day---laundry (3 loads), going through a huge stack of papers on my desk and then doing more work on the finances in preparation for the new August budget that Tim and I will be working on so that we make full use of our consolidation effort. I identified several things, including my massages, that have to go as they are extras. I did notice there is a way to get therapeutic massage covered by insurance so will talk with the doctor as it definitely helps my knee. We'll see.
Tomorrow I am not touching finances. It's going to be a total day of rest. Worship, sanctuary snap-back (I help make sure any cups/papers, etc. are cleaned up before the next service.) and then the sermon at home in the afternoon. No other plans. Not making any either.
Ellsworth is doing so good after his extensive dental surgery. Maegann got a good pictue of our ol' SnaggleTooth dog. One lone canine on the bottom.
With the lack of AC and high 90s happening (the house is staying 80+ right now in the afternoon) that tongue spends so much time like that so he can cool off.
I got a cute picture of her loving on both dogs.
They were not in any hurry to move away either.
Basketball camp was not as good as his memory of last year. He said, "Too many kids. Different coaches. I didn't play as well." He's sore tonight from the hard work. It's an intense day and half! Once home, we had supper together and he was talking with me about school. I believe he is going to choose to go back to Nampa High. He has figured out he will miss the friendships that he was able to make and we discussed how we both know how to deal with the classwork, teachers, negative events better. We can start his year with a solid IEP in place as I know what else to ask for after discussions this summer so that should help him even more with the classwork and teachers. He has to let me know his decision tomorrow.
She had another good day at school. She was so proud of herself as she got Terri (our good friend who has been faithful to go have Maegann do her hair) in and out of there in under two hours. They book closer to 4 1/2 hours for them when they have a cut, color touch-up and eyebrow wax. She said everyone was "shook" and everything was done perfectly in that less time. When she knows how to do it, and she enjoys it, this is the true Maegann. Confident and Focused.
After school she went by Karcher Mall to see Tayler. He had asked her to stop by. Last night they made contact for the first time since they put an end to things a couple of months ago. She came home so happy because after the initial nervousness of meeting up passed it was just like they hadn't missed any time at all. He called her tonight and it was very nice hearing sincere laughter and happiness once again. We've had a couple discussions about what needs to be different though so that the same mistakes aren't made.
Tim's project today was finishing the securing of the ceiling drywall that I helped him put up last night and framing in the bathroom and pantry. I'll get pictures tomorrow. It really helps pull the old and new together!
